My brother showed up at my house on a Saturday morning and started pounding on the door hard enough to wake my neighbors.
I remember exactly what I was doing when the knocking started — standing at my kitchen counter in sweatpants, pouring coffee, half watching the Saturday morning light come through the window over my sink.
