Husband Invited His Boss to Dinner Without Asking His Wife – Then the Boss Asked Her, ‘So You Don’t Know Yet?’

I could have handled a last-minute dinner party. What I wasn’t prepared for was discovering, in front of my husband’s boss and coworkers, that they all seemed to know something important about his future that I didn’t.

That night, Nathan seemed unusually nervous. He kept checking his phone and barely touched his food.

I noticed because normally he loved the meal I’d made.

Halfway through dinner, Mr. Bennett raised his glass.

“Well, we should probably celebrate.”
