When my husband asked me to hide our wedding photos before his mom visited, I thought he was being overly protective of her feelings. But one innocent question from her made me realize Everett had been hiding far more than our photographs.
My husband, Everett, and I had been married for two years when he suddenly asked me to take down every wedding photo in our house.
“Why?” I asked.
“My mother’s coming on Saturday. I’d rather she didn’t see them.”
