Hey, hey, Waffle Gang. I do hope you are well. My name is Mark, and today we are checking out some more AITA-style Reddit stories.

If you do love a Reddit story, consider hitting like, subscribe, and maybe that notification bell too. Let’s dive straight into today’s story. As you can see, this video is an extra-long one.

It is all one story, believe it or not. I started reading it, and then the recording got to over an hour, and I thought, what on earth? So I figured I had better come back and re-record the intro to explain the situation.

This is one story that started on Am I the Jerk and then started unraveling through updates, almost like a diary from OP explaining how everything happened and how they felt about it. Every update seems to escalate further. I will put timestamps to all the updates, so you can keep coming back if you want to, because I understand it is a long read.

Anyway, let’s get into today’s story. There are trigger warnings for mental health issues, animal mistreatment, depression, and assault, so I am letting you know about those. It is from a user called Planets Ahead, who says:

Am I the jerk for taking in my brother-in-law, who peed on my stuff and blamed my cat?

Alternatively titled: The P-Gate Saga. My twenty-nine-year-old female husband—Ted, thirty-four, male—and I have been together for ten years. We met early in college and dated all throughout.

I graduated before him and took a semester for traveling while he finished, so we could move back to another state. He ended up having to repeat some classes, so when I came back, we could not move yet. I had no place of my own, so I moved in with him, his roommate, and his brother Ash, thirty-two, male, while Ted finished school.

What happened next changed everything… FULL STORY on the next page.
